The PbBi eutectic pool type reactor design of MYRRHA presents a large experimental flexibility of irradiation devices with high degree of core and in-pile management possibilities. Furthermore the design has been made in such a way that all components with the exception of the containment vessels can be removed and exchanged during life time of the installation for maintenance. In-vessel manipulation, inspection and recovery is performed by remote handling. |
