Primary tasks are the planned tasks which are required to be performed during a shutdown, e.g.:
- removal & installation of the spallation loop complete with all internal items;
- removal & installation of the core support tube;
- removal & installation of the spallation loop plus core support tube;
- removal & installation of the heat exchangers;
- removal & installation of the pumps;
- removal & installation of the in-vessel fuel transfer machine;
- removal & installation of the lid & diaphragm;
- removal & installation of the lid;
- removal & installation of the emergency heat exchangers;
- removal & installation of the beam line;
- removal & installation of the experimental devices & sacrificial test pieces;
- removal & installation of the spallation loop MHD & mechanical pumps;
- removal of the PbBi from the vessel at the end of its operational life.
